Vase “Desert Jewel” Crystal Glaze Ochre-Blue

This hand-thrown stoneware vase has a softly rounded, bulbous body that tapers to a narrow 5-cm opening. The interior is glazed white, while the exterior is coated with a fascinating crystal glaze developed in-house. The warm ochre-colored surface serves as the backdrop for light blue to deep blue crystals. Individual crystals can reach up to 5 cm in size. As the piece cools in the kiln, the crystals grow unpredictably across the surface, and their delicate structures and varying depths stand out particularly clearly when held up to the light. It is precisely this unpredictability that makes each piece unique.
