Schritt für Schritt zeigen wir dir, wie du den Ton zentrierst, öffnest und daraus einfache Gefässe drehst. Auch die Nachbearbeitung gehört dazu, damit aus der gedrehten Form ein stimmiges Stück entsteht.
No prior experience is needed. Working in a small group, you will receive close guidance and can ask all your questions right at the pottery wheel.
The Journey from Raw Clay to the Finished Piece
You will throw your pieces on the wheel and bring them into their final shape by trimming. After the first firing, you will glaze them yourself. This way, you experience the entire process from raw clay to the finished ceramic piece.
The course includes
3 hours of throwing on the pottery wheel
3 hours trimming of the pieces
2 to 3 hours of glazing – the date for this will be arranged separately
All material costs and two firings
By the end of this course, you will have built your foundation. This qualifies you to use our «Open Studio» where you can work independently and bring your own ideas to life in our Zurich ceramic studio.
